Before anything else, we have a no-pressure conversation to understand your current level, your learning history, your real goals and when and how you learn best. No formal tests.
Methodology
No textbooks. No generic syllabus.
Most language courses have a fixed plan that every student follows in exactly the same order. The problem is that no two people learn Spanish the same way, for the same reasons, at the same pace. So we do not use a fixed plan.

What a lesson actually looks like
No two lessons are identical. But most sessions include a combination of the following elements, adapted to your level and focus.
Real conversation
We always start or end with real speaking. Not scripted dialogues — actual conversation practice in contexts relevant to your life and goals.
Contextual grammar
Grammar is never taught in a vacuum. We introduce rules through real examples — things you are actually going to say or read — so they stick rather than evaporate.
Vocabulary in use
We build vocabulary through usage, not lists. New words appear in sentences, stories and situations — then come back in future sessions until they are truly yours.
Pronunciation work
Spanish pronunciation is actually one of the easier parts of the language — but it does need attention, especially with sounds that do not exist in English. We address this early and consistently.
Error correction
We use a targeted approach to error correction — not interrupting every sentence, but making sure recurring patterns are addressed clearly and remembered, not just noted and forgotten.
Consolidation exercises
Short, targeted exercises to lock in what we covered that session. Not homework for the sake of it — only what will genuinely reinforce your progress before the next class.

Adaptive lessons
Each session is built around what you actually need right now. We do not follow a script. If something clicks quickly, we move on. If something needs more time, we stay with it.

Regular review
Every few weeks, we take stock of where you are. What can you do now that you could not do before? What still feels uncomfortable? The plan evolves as you evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the very first session?
The first session is a diagnostic conversation — low pressure, more of a chat than a test. I want to understand your history with Spanish, what you are finding difficult, what you actually need it for, and how you prefer to learn. From that, I put together a first plan and we get going.
Do you send materials before or after sessions?
We work on personal, shared documents created specifically for you. You can edit them, add your own annotations, and we both work on the same file in real-time. These materials are always shared and available, so you have everything at hand whenever you need it.
How do you track my progress?
I keep notes from every session — what we covered, what clicked, what needs revisiting. Every few weeks, we do a short review together: what can you do now that you could not do before? That question is more useful than any test score.
What if I want to change my focus mid-course?
Completely normal. If you started with conversational Spanish but want to work on written Spanish for work, or if you started as a beginner and now want to focus on speaking, we adjust. There is no rigid plan that cannot be changed.
