2. What data we collect and why
Rise Language Lab only collects data that the user voluntarily provides through the website contact form:
- Name
- Email address
- Information about goals, level and interests (optional form fields)
This data is used exclusively to respond to the user's enquiry and, where applicable, to manage the start of a teaching services relationship. It is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties, except as indicated below.
3. Legal basis for processing
The processing of data is based on the user's consent when voluntarily submitting the contact form (Art. 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). Should a service relationship be formalised, the legal basis will shift to the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
4. Retention period
Data will be retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and, where applicable, for the duration of the service relationship. Once the relationship has ended and the applicable statutory limitation periods have elapsed, data will be securely deleted.
5. Recipients of the data
Data is not sold or shared with third parties. It is only communicated to:
- Email provider (own SMTP server): used for the technical delivery of the contact message. The server is located within the European Union.
6. International data transfers
The website uses Google Fonts, a Google LLC service for loading typefaces. When your browser loads the page, it makes a request to Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com), which may involve the transfer of your IP address to Google servers located outside the European Economic Area. This transfer is carried out under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Google Fonts does not set cookies in the user's browser.
No other international data transfers take place.
7. User rights
In accordance with the GDPR and Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection (LOPDGDD), you may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: find out what data we hold about you.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request the deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary.
- Restriction of processing: request that we suspend processing in certain circumstances.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Objection: object to processing where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, send an email to info@riselanguagelab.com stating the right you wish to exercise and attaching a copy of your identity document.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes applicable regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.
8. Security
Rise Language Lab adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure, in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.
