Why the standard beginner method doesn't work

Beginner courses are designed for groups: same pace, same vocabulary, same syllabus for everyone. That means weeks of content with nothing to do with what you actually need to use.

For adults especially, learning something you can't apply straight away is demotivating — and that's what produces the famous block.

If you need to move a lesson, it gets rescheduled to another day or time without losing it. You decide how many sessions you want each month and how to spread them out.

I design content for the first sessions based on your specific goal. The vocabulary and structures we tackle from the start are the ones you'll need first.

Grammar foundations are introduced as they appear in the material — not as separate lessons. That's how English starts to make sense as a system, not a list of rules.

From the very first sessions, English is practised in real situations. The goal is for what you learn in class to be usable that same week.

Frequently asked questions

Can adults really learn English from scratch?
Yes. The idea that adults learn languages worse is a widely spread myth. We need to understand the structure, not just absorb it. When the method accounts for that, progress is absolutely possible.
I've tried before and it didn't work. What will be different?
In most cases, previous attempts failed because of the method: vocabulary unrelated to real life, or group pacing. If we identify what didn't work before, we can make sure not to repeat it.
Really no textbook?
Correct. Materials are designed for each student: their real-life situations and exercises targeting the specific points they need to work on. A standard textbook simply can't do that.
How long until I can hold a basic conversation?
It depends on your starting point, but from the very first sessions English is practised in use. You don't wait until you "have a level" to speak — which speeds up language activation enormously.
Can I reschedule a lesson if something comes up?
Yes. Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Full details are on the pricing page.
